Walk-in tubs for Naples and Collier County

In Collier County, many homes sit inside gated golf communities, many owners are seasonal and many bathrooms are already spacious. That changes the plan in helpful ways.

Direct answer: Yes, we install walk-in tubs across Collier County, including Naples, Marco Island and gated golf communities. Bathrooms here are often roomy enough for two-seat or larger tubs, and seasonal owners can schedule work around their time in Florida. Call 1-888-779-2284 for a free quote.

Larger bathrooms, more choices

Compared with older parts of Florida, much of Collier County's housing is relatively new, and many homes were built with generous bathrooms. Primary baths in many homes and coach homes have a separate soaking tub and shower, double vanities and room to turn a walker. That space opens doors: wider walk-in tubs, two-seat models, or a roll-in shower that keeps the soaking tub for guests.

More space does not automatically mean a bigger tub is better. A tub that is too long can leave a shorter bather sliding off the seat, and a very large tub takes longer to fill and drain. We match the model to the person first and the room second.

We help Collier County homeowners choose and install walk-in tubs, transfer tubs and roll-in showers. We do not have a showroom in Naples. We plan by phone and photos, measure in your home and handle the installation.

Community living

Gated and golf communities

Many Collier homeowners live in gated communities with HOAs or condo associations, and many of those include golf courses, coach homes and mid-rise buildings. Interior bathroom work usually needs less approval than exterior changes, but community rules still apply to the people and trucks coming in.

Gate and parking

Contractors typically need to be registered at the gate. Some communities restrict trailer parking or require work trucks off the street.

Insurance and licensing

Associations often ask for a certificate of insurance and license number before work starts. We provide what they request.

Coach homes and mid-rises

Two-story coach homes and mid-rise buildings may have elevators, stairs or both. We check the delivery path, including elevator cab size.

Seasonal work rules

Some communities limit construction noise during the peak winter months. Ask early so your install date fits.

Snowbirds

Planning when you live here part of the year

Many Naples owners split the year between Southwest Florida and another home. If that is you, the best plan is to do the decision-making from afar and schedule the install while you are here.

  • Send photos and measurements from your measuring checklist.
  • Get the association application started before you arrive.
  • Schedule the install early in your stay, not the week you leave.
  • Attend the walkthrough so you know how the tub works.
  • Before leaving for the summer, drain and dry the tub and leave humidity control running.

Some models offer jets aimed at the feet and legs.

Remember hot water: bigger tubs hold more water. A two-seat tub can need a larger water heater than the one serving your current soaking tub.

Spacious baths

Two-seat and larger walk-in tubs

When a primary bathroom has room, some couples choose a tub they can share, and some single bathers choose more length. Ella makes several larger models:

  • Ella Tub4Two: 32" W x 60" L, two seats in a standard 60-inch alcove size.
  • Ella Escape: 36" W x 72" L, two seats with an inward swing stainless steel door.
  • Ella Big4Two: 36" W x 80" L, Ella's largest two-seat walk-in tub.
  • Ella ShaK: 36" W x 72" L, which Ella calls the world's biggest single-seat acrylic walk-in tub.

Larger tubs take longer to fill and drain, need more hot water and weigh more when full. On a slab that weight is rarely an issue. In a coach home or mid-rise, we check the floor first.

Coastal planning

Storms, flood zones and the 50 percent rule

Hurricane Ian in 2022 and later storms brought major flood damage to parts of Southwest Florida, including areas of Naples and Marco Island. Coastal homes in mapped flood zones are subject to floodplain rules on substantial improvements, and some communities count improvement costs cumulatively.

A single bathroom update is usually small next to a home's value. If you have also done storm repairs or other remodeling, ask Collier County or your city's building department how improvements are counted before you schedule. Our climate guide explains the rule and the questions to ask.

Questions and answers

Naples walk-in tub FAQ

Can a walk-in tub replace a large soaking tub in a Naples primary bath?

Often, yes. Larger bathrooms can fit wider or longer walk-in tubs, and even two-seat models. We measure the space, the delivery path and the water heater before recommending one.

Will my gated community need to approve the work?

Interior bathroom work often needs little formal approval, but communities usually require contractors to register at the gate and may ask for insurance and license documents. Condo buildings may require an application.

Which agency helps older adults in Collier County?

The Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida serves Collier County. Call the Florida Elder Helpline at 1-800-963-5337 to be connected.

Can my spouse and I share a walk-in tub?

Yes, with a two-seat model such as the Ella Tub4Two, Escape or Big4Two. They need more space and more hot water than single-seat tubs, so we check both before recommending one.
